Some things elude direct language not from a lack of clarity, but due to a precision that ordinary words cannot contain, demanding an oblique, patient, imaginative approach.
The Unsayable offers seasonal laboratories for writers, artists, researchers, and the curious. Rather than clinical spaces, these function as alchemical laboratories for experimental thought and collaborative investigation. We contain the strange within a vessel, fusing it with text, philosophy, intuition and emotion to depart with transformed substance.
Running for four weeks online, these collaborative spaces are facilitated rather than taught. You receive the conditions for thought rather than instructions on what to think.
Each laboratory can be joined in two ways. Live places are for those in the room: the sessions, the games and the conversation as they happen. Correspondent places are for those who can't make the live times, wherever they are in the world, with full access to the Classroom and each session's recording, at roughly half the price.
Drawing on creative practice, depth psychology, poetic attention, philosophy and the imaginal, participation requires no academic background - only an encounter with something unquantifiable by existing frameworks.

Flea Markets of the Unconscious

The Surrealists understood that the unconscious behaves like a market - trafficking in displaced fragments, impossible meetings, and images that appear to mean nothing yet mean everything. This laboratory treats that psychic terrain not as a neat filing cabinet, but as a sprawling, internal archive of debris. Moving between surrealist philosophy and active praxis, we use automatic writing, chance, and the found image as serious instruments of inquiry. We gather to excavate what the unconscious has been stockpiling, using the debris to generate new, unorthodox writing.
The Poem That Reads You

You did not choose it; it chose you. A line from a poem that has never left - surfacing at 3 am, at a funeral, in the middle of an argument. It holds a precision about you that ordinary language cannot capture. Over four weeks, we turn the traditional critical lens backward. Instead of dissecting a poem on a slab like an academic specimen, we use a psychoanalytic framework to investigate how a text looks back at us - disrupting our thoughts and revealing what we carry. Bring the lines you cannot explain; we meet not to analyse, but to encounter.
What the Cards Do Not Say
Summer 2027 · Online · Two Hours · Four weeks
The Tarot is saturated with accumulated meaning - occult, psychological, archetypal. All of it is valuable, but all of it can become a buffer between the researcher and the raw encounter with the image. This laboratory removes the buffer. Treating the cards strictly as visual generators and alternative notations, we strip away traditional interpretations to confront the image directly. This is a collaborative testing ground for staying in the not-yet-known long enough for something genuinely unexpected to emerge
